GENERAL INFORMATION
Electricity is available at 240 volts AC, 50 Hz. 3-pin plugs are used, however sockets are different from those found in most countries and an adaptor socket may be needed. 110v outlets are found in most hotels.
There are three main timezones in Australia - EST (Eastern Standard Time, e.g. NSW, Queensland, Victoria, ACT and Tasmania) - GMT +10h, CST (Central Standard Time, e.g. Northern Territory and South Australia) - GMT + 9.5h - and ..... ( ... Western Australia) - GMT + 8h.
